Was für Sommerferien! Nicht nur, dass Arthur (Freddie Highmore) endlich 12 Jahre alt wird, er erlebt auch noch das größte Abenteuer seines Lebens. Arthur gelingt es, in den Aufzeichnungen seines Großvaters einen Weg zu den Minimoys zu finden. After the first two volumes of his novels about the adventures of the young hero Arthur and with incredible attention to detail, the cult director (including 'The Big Blue' in 1988, 'Léon' in 1994, 'The Fifth Element' in 1997) created a fascinating fantasy saga that sets new standards. Highly original and creative, he combines real and animated worlds, science fiction and action elements, as well as a lot of humor with an exciting, imaginative story. 5 years of hard work, hundreds of designers and technicians as well as thousands of state-of-the-art 3D effects were necessary to realize this most expensive European animated film of all time.
