Cinematographer Seamus McGarvey ('Atonement'), in collaboration with award-winning production designer Alice Normington ('Reunion with Brideshead'), atmospherically stages the late 50s between dreariness and departure. At this year's Filmfest Hamburg, 'Nowhere Boy' was awarded the 'Art Cinema Award' by the international association of art film theatres 'C.I.C.A.E.'.
