Das Special-Force-Team um Lt. Quinn (Dean Cain) ist gefallen und wird zur Untersuchung auf einen Army-Stützpunkt in Kalifornien gebracht. Dort angekommen erheben sich die ersten der Totgeglaubten und stürmen wie eine Zombie-Invasion über das Fort her. Allein Lt. Quinn verwandelt sich nicht ganz in einen Zombie und stellt sich ihnen in den Weg. Doch Dr. Scott (Peter Greene) und Dr. Boyce (Natassia Malthe) sehen hier ihre Chance, sie wollen die Untoten um jeden Preis 'lebend', um mit ihnen forschen zu können. Aber schnell wird klar, dass man diese Meute nicht bändigen kann und die Mauern des Fort fallen. Mit der Kellnerin Holly (Susan Ward) findet Quinn eine Verbündete, die sich mit ihm auf die Jagd der Zombiearmee begibt. Ein blutiger Feldzug beginnt.
In 'Dead and Deader' verbindet Regisseur Patrick Dinhut den Zombiefilm mit einer Comedy und einem Army-Actioner, und heraus kommt eine Zombedy der besonderen Art. Nach 'Shaun of the Dead' und 'Severance' ein weiterer Meilenstein des Genres zum Ekeln, Totlachen, Gruseln und Feiern.

The Special Force team around Lt. Quinn (Dean Cain) has fallen and is brought to an Army base in California for investigation. Once there, the first of those believed dead rise and storm over the fort like a zombie invasion. But Lt. Quinn doesn't quite turn into a zombie and stands in their way. But Dr. Scott (Peter Greene) and Dr. Boyce (Natassia Malthe) see their chance here, they want the undead 'alive' at all costs so that they can do research with them. But it quickly becomes clear that this pack cannot be tamed and the walls of the fort fall. Quinn finds an ally in the waitress Holly (Susan Ward), who goes with him on the hunt of the zombie army. A bloody campaign begins.
In 'Dead and Deader', director Patrick Dinhut combines the zombie film with a comedy and an army actioner, and the result is a zombedy of a special kind. After 'Shaun of the Dead' and 'Severance', another milestone of the genre for disgusting, laughing, scaring and celebrating.
