Lieb Vaterland magst ruhig sein

The Berlin Wall has been standing for three years in 1964. The illegal business of organized escape assistance is flourishing. Small-time crook Bruno (Heinz Domez) from East Berlin is supposed to kidnap one of the heads of the organization, a man named Fanzelau (Georg Marischka), from the west of the city on behalf of the GDR. However, he makes contact with the relevant Western authorities and thus becomes a double agent who gets caught between the fronts of the countries...
