Die Realfilmadaption der gleichnamigen, äußerst erfolgreichen Animationsserie 'Max Steel' erzählt die Geschichte des Teenagers Max McGrath, der zusammen mit seinem Alien-Kumpel 'Steel' Turbokräfte aktivieren kann und so zum ultraschnellen und unbesiegbaren Superhelden Max Steel wird: Von einem Tag auf den anderen gerät das Leben von Max (Ben Winchell) total durcheinander. Nicht nur, dass er völlig neu in der Stadt ist, er seine überfürsorgliche Mutter (Maria Bello) im Schlepptau hat und ihm seit dem ersten Tag an der neuen Schule die süße Sofia (Ana Villafañe) nicht mehr aus dem Kopf geht. Das könnte er noch irgendwie managen. Doch es kommen noch ganz andere Probleme auf ihn zu als er entdeckt, dass sein Körper einzigartige Turbokräfte entwickeln kann. Das Dumme an der Sache ist nämlich: Max kann sie nicht kontrollieren und sie bringen ihn in die merkwürdigsten, ja sogar gefährlichen Situationen. Max hat Angst, gleich zum totalen Außenseiter zu werden. Zum Glück trifft er, bevor die ganz große Katastrophe passieren kann, auf ein mysteriöses Wesen namens 'Steel'. Wenn sich das kleine Alien mit ihm verbindet, dann werden sie zum perfekten Team und können zusammen Max' Superpower steuern. Sie werden zu 'Max Steel'! Und das gerade zur richtigen Zeit, denn schon sind geheime Agenten einer bedrohlichen Macht hinter den beiden her, die sie für ihre Zwecke missbrauchen wollen. The live-action adaptation of the hugely successful animated series of the same name 'Max Steel' tells the story of teenager Max McGrath, who, together with his alien buddy 'Steel', can activate turbo powers and thus become the ultra-fast and invincible superhero Max Steel: From one day to the next, Max's (Ben Winchell) life is thrown into disarray.
