In 2044, emotions no longer have a place in a society controlled by AI. Feelings have become superfluous obstacles that hinder productivity. Gabrielle (Léa Seydoux) cannot free herself from her fears and is forced to have her DNA 'cleansed' by the AI. This process sends them on a journey through their past lives. At the beginning of the 20th century, Gabrielle is a concert pianist in Paris, in the 2010s she lives as a model in Los Angeles, and she always meets Louis Lewanski (George MacKay), who seems to be connected to her.
