It's about a bag. Harry is a car dealer, crook and leisure philosopher. He is supposed to get a bag from Lodz for the mysterious Carlos, but he doesn't want to get his hands dirty in the process. He sends his best man – Schorsch. Schorsch, however, has a penchant for the irrational, too fast cars and no driver's license at the moment. With gentle emphasis, he manages to sell Mao the job. She has completely different worries, as she has to take care of a friend's eight-year-old daughter. Assignment, assignment, you have to wander: Mao has Max and Johann on her payroll, who run the snack bar 'Wurst und Durst' for them - more badly than right. Max, who likes to get involved in original marketing concepts for snacks, and Johann, for whom the variety of sausages in the destination country is a decisive argument, set off for Poland to find the bag. Car dealer Harry quickly suspects that something must be wrong when he finds Schorsch at home with beer, joints and Formula One. Horrified, he has to find out who Carlos' assignment has ended up with. Another duo sets off for Poland: The two have to prevent worse. Everything goes smoothly for Max and Johann: they arrive in Lodz almost without detours and just as easily come into possession of the bag. Reason enough to have a nice evening in the nightlife of Lodz. The 'culinary' supply is top-notch, Max takes drugs, and Johann gets 'contact high'. They stumble from one state of intoxication to the next with bag in hand, increasingly involving their entire environment. They stagger through hotel rooms that are too small, take the wrong trains, mix up bags, fall in love in the most melodramatic way, adore butchers and soon no longer know where and who they are. Harry and George are always on their heels, but would love to be one step ahead of them. When they do manage to take the bag, reality strikes back in an unusual way and leaves it behind, wounded in karma but closer to each other. In Vienna, Mao is now struggling with little Sissy, who finds life in general and in particular too boring. However, before these two can get used to each other, they are swept into a maelstrom triggered by Max, which makes them the key in an upside-down world of perceptions. A floating moment in which all the characters are in contact with each other. Only Johann keeps a clear head and saves the bag. What he has saved there makes everything more colorful, wilder, more romantic, more dangerous and more disturbing. But would he have saved it if he had known what it was all about? So as I said, it's about a bag.
