A top-class action thriller about a brutal game of confusion in which only a few will survive: After a robbery of a payroll office, the gangsters get into a wild shootout with the police, in the course of which one of them is killed. The survivors seek refuge in a restaurant with the looted money. What they don't know is that there are two outlaws of a completely different caliber, who in turn see the chance to escape from the robbery with the money. In order to escape, they take not only the guests of the restaurant, but also the rest of the raiding squad hostage. Meanwhile, Detective Rick Devlin (Arnold Vosloo) tries to get in touch with the hostage-takers without having any idea what is going on in the restaurant. As the situation escalates further, agent Lind (Michael Madsen), who specializes in hostage negotiations, is called in, which ends in a brutal act of violence. Soon, none of the people involved around Sam (Edward Furlong) and Nadia (Bai Ling) know who is on whose side.
