Der grandiose Pierre Richard und die Sache mit dem Regenschirm. Der Schauspieler Grégoire Lecomte (Richard) hat genau zwei Leidenschaften: seine Karriere und junge attraktive Frauen. Schon lange hofft er auf seinen Durchbruch in der Filmbranche. An jenem Morgen hat er einen Termin mit einem Produzenten, und er ist guter Dinge, dass er die Rolle seines Lebens, die eines kaltblütigen Mörders auch bekommt. Zur gleichen Zeit macht sich auch Moskowitz (Gordon Mitchell), ein hoch bezahlter Mörder, auf den Weg, seinen neuen Auftrag entgegenzunehmen. Als Grégoire nun glaubt, mit seinem Produzenten zu sprechen, merkt er nicht, dass er sich im Büro geirrt hat und nun in Verhandlung mit einem großen Mafia-Boss steht. Für den Schnitt wurde Albert Jurgenson 1981 beim französischen Filmpreis 'César' in der Kategorie 'Bester Schnitt' nominiert, musste sich jedoch Martine Barraqué für 'Die letzte Metro' geschlagen geben.

The grandiose Pierre Richard and the thing with the umbrella. The actor Grégoire Lecomte (Richard) has exactly two passions: his career and young attractive women. He has been hoping for his breakthrough in the film industry for a long time. That morning he has an appointment with a producer, and he is confident that he will get the role of his life, that of a cold-blooded murderer. In the French crime comedy 'The Umbrella Murderer' (1980) by director Gérard Oury with Pierre Richard as Grégoire Lecomte, Gert Fröbe as Otto Krampe and Valérie Mairesse as Sylvette. For the editing, Albert Jurgenson was nominated for the French film award 'César' in 1981 in the category 'Best Editing', but had to admit defeat to Martine Barraqué for 'The Last Metro'.
