'Germany's Independent Movies' präsentiert 4 Kultfilme zum ersten Mal auf Blu-ray.
Film 1 'Kopf oder Zahl' (2009, Regie: Benjamin Eicher und Timo Joh. Mayer) : Das sind zwölf Protagonisten, sechs Geschichten und ein Kilogramm Heroin. 24 Stunden im Leben von Menschen, die unterschiedlicher nicht sein könnten. Und doch führt sie das Schicksal oder der Zufall zusammen. Ort der Handlung ist eine Großstadt im ganz normalen Ausnahmezustand. Lebenswege kreuzen und trennen sich. Alle hängen in der Luft - hin und her gerissen zwischen Angst, Armut, Wut, Verzweiflung und der alles überwindenden Kraft der Hoffnung und des Glücks.
Film 2 'Chaostage - We are Punks!' (2009, Regie: Tarek Ehlail): Deutschland an einem ganz normalen Wochenende im Sommer. Punks, Skins und Autonome - als sich ihre Wege kreuzen, kommt es zur Katastrophe - zu den 'Chaostagen'. Der Film erzählt eine Geschichte, wie sie jederzeit und überall wieder geschehen könnte. Die Geschichte von Mitch, der ein für allemal die Schnauze voll hat von der ewig gleichen, müden Punkstagnation und seinem Kumpel Didi, der unauffällig und im Hintergrund die Bombe zum Platzen bringt. Eddie, der Anführer der Naziskins, der ein ziemlich unrühmliches Geheimnis mit sich herumschleppt. Anita, die zu den Nazis gehört, aber schon längst nach ganz anderem trachtet. Und Brunner, der scheinbar nicht klein zu kriegende Bulle. Sie alle treffen sich an einem Punkt, als der Kessel zu brodeln beginnt.
Film 3 'Kampfansage - Der letzte Schüler' (2005, Regie: Johannes Jaeger): Berlin 2045. Die Stadt versinkt in Angst und Chaos. Deutschland ist am Boden, die Wirtschaft ist zusammengebrochen, und jahrelange Bürgerkriege haben das Land ausgeblutet. Die wenigen Überlebenden leiden unter der Herrschaft von Bosco (Christian Monz), einem grausamen Soldatenkönig, der mit seiner Armee aus brutalen Kung-Fu-Kämpfern immer mehr Städte unterwirft. Um unbesiegbar zu werden, will er sich eine geheime Kampftechnik aneignen. Bosco lässt den alten Kampfkunstmeister ermorden und stiehlt das Buch, das die Beschreibung der Kampftechnik enthält. Jonas (Mathis Landwehr), der letzte Schüler des alten Meisters, macht sich Monate später auf, um den Tod seines Lehrers zu rächen und das Buch zurückzuholen. Während seiner Reise trifft Jonas auf eine Gruppe Jugendlicher, die mit bescheidenen Mitteln gegen Boscos Armeen kämpfen. Zusammen mit dem Draufgänger Vinzent (Volkram Zschiesche) formt Jonas aus ihnen eine Widerstandsbewegung und nimmt den Kampf gegen die Übermacht von Boscos Soldaten auf.
Film 4 'Schaffe schaffe Scheiße baue' (2001, Benjamin Eicher und Timo Joh. Mayer): Das beschauliche Leben der Schwobemetropole ist in Gefahr. Ein Ufo landet und bringt die netten Bewohner des Kessels zum kochen. Wild und frei nach Laune geht der Alien gegen die ahnungslosen Bewohner vor mit einem Ziel unsere Stadt zu übernehmen. Wer soll das nun verhindern? Die Polizei? Ein paar Gangster? Oder ist unser Stuttgart verloren. Lustig wird's auf jeden Fall.

Film 1 'Heads or Tails' (2009, Directors: Benjamin Eicher and Timo Joh. Mayer): That's twelve protagonists, six stories and one kilogram of heroin. 24 hours in the lives of people who couldn't be more different. And yet fate or chance brings them together. The setting is a big city in a normal state of emergency. Paths of life cross and separate. Everyone hangs in the air - torn back and forth between fear, poverty, anger, despair and the all-conquering power of hope and happiness.
Film 2 'Chaos Days - We are Punks!' (2009, Director: Tarek Ehlail): Germany on a Normal Weekend in Summer. Punks, skins and autonomists - when their paths cross, disaster strikes - to the 'Chaos Days'. The film tells a story that could happen again at any time and anywhere. The story of Mitch, who once and for all is fed up with the eternally same, tired punk stagnation and his buddy Didi, who inconspicuously and in the background drops the bombshell. Eddie, the leader of the Nazi skins, who carries around a rather inglorious secret. Anita, who belongs to the Nazis, but has long been striving for something completely different. And Brunner, the cop who apparently can't be brought down. They all meet at a point when the cauldron begins to boil.
Film 3 'Kampfansage - Der letzte Schüler' (2005, Director: Johannes Jaeger): Berlin 2045. The city is sinking into fear and chaos. Germany is on the ground, the economy has collapsed, and years of civil war have bled the country dry. The few survivors suffer under the rule of Bosco (Christian Monz), a cruel soldier king who subjugates more and more cities with his army of brutal kung fu fighters. In order to become invincible, he wants to acquire a secret fighting technique. Bosco has the old martial arts master murdered and steals the book that contains the description of the fighting technique. Jonas (Mathis Landwehr), the old master's last student, sets out months later to avenge the death of his teacher and retrieve the book. During his journey, Jonas meets a group of young people who fight against Bosco's armies with modest means. Together with the daredevil Vinzent (Volkram Zschiesche), Jonas forms a resistance movement out of them and takes up the fight against the superior force of Bosco's soldiers.
Film 4 'Schaffe schaffe Scheiß baue' (2001, Benjamin Eicher and Timo Joh. Mayer): The tranquil life of the Schwobe metropolis is in danger. A UFO lands and brings the nice inhabitants of the cauldron to a boil. Wild and free, the alien proceeds against the unsuspecting inhabitants with one goal: to take over our city. Who is supposed to prevent this now? The police? A few gangsters? Or is our Stuttgart lost. It's going to be fun in any case.
