Once upon a time in the middle of the Oregon wilderness, raccoon and skunk said 'good night' to each other and all animals and people lived in peace and respect for nature... Until the day when Dan Sanders (Brendan Fraser) moves there for a year on behalf of the supposedly ecological construction company 'Lyman Industries' to oversee the construction of a new housing estate with a shopping mall and golf course. While son Tyler (Matt Prokop) finds the loneliness terrible, wife Tammy (Brooke Shields) is enthusiastic about the idyll. However, this should not last much longer, because Dan's nasty boss Neil Lyman (Ken Jeong) wants to raze the entire forest to the ground - and the beaver dam is the first to believe in it. But Rocky Springs, Oregon, wouldn't be such a uniquely untouched region if the furry forest dwellers put up with everything. Beavers, vultures, bears and their hairy colleagues equip themselves with all kinds of cunning tricks for a counterattack and quickly the blueprint for Dan Sanders grows into an animal nightmare.
