For a long time, it was peaceful in Monreal. Almost too long, because now the district is to be saved. Killmer (Uwe Ochsenknecht) doesn't think it's so bad: finally a big city again. Kati Biver (Diana Amft), on the other hand, is horrified and decides to do something. A still ownerless corpse in the neighboring hunting ground is just right for her for creative acquisition. To her amazement, however, the body that is found a short time later in Monreal is not the one she secretly procured, but one of the candidates in the bitterly fought Monreal mayoral election campaign. And the main suspect in the murder case is her own grandmother. Now Kati has her hands full protecting her grandmother - and Killmer even more so protecting his colleague from more or less illegal short-circuit actions. Especially since Mayor Drömmer (Bernhard Schütz) sees his chance to make a name for himself in the election campaign in a tough stance against Grandma Biver. And so, in the face of a confusing evidence, Kati and Killmer investigate with a lot of verve alongside, against and sometimes even with each other.
