Unsere ehemalige PR-Beraterin und Detektiv-Senkrechtstarterin Agatha Raisin (Ashley Jensen) hat es wieder zurück ins idyllische 'Carsely' verschlagen. Am Schluss der ersten Staffel war sie nach der geplatzten Hochzeit trotz allem James nach Zypern hinterher gereist. Aber es hat offenbar nicht so funktioniert, wie sie es sich vorgestellt hatte, denn sie ist allein zurückgekehrt. Vor Ort warten ihre alten neuen Bekannten sowie drei neue Fälle auf die schräg-tollpatschige Hobby-Ermittlerin.

01. Der tote Friseur: Als Agatha nach ihrer Auszeit ins malerische 'Carsley' zurückkehrt, wird sie umgehend in eine weitere mysteriöse Geschichte verwickelt. Ihr arroganter, aber brillanter Friseur Jonny Shawpart (James Lance), genannt 'Der Zauberer von Evesham', wird zur zentralen Figur eines Strudels aus Erpressung, Verschwörung und Mord.
02. Der tote Gutsherr: Auf der Suche nach ein paar Tagen Erholung mietet sich Agatha ein Cottage in 'Fryfarm', einem Dorf, in dem mythische Feen leben sollen. Bevor Agatha entspannen kann, wird sie im lokalen Pub von Lucy Trumpington-James (Elarica Johnson) angesprochen, ob sie nicht Beweise für eine Affäre ihres Ehemanns sammeln könnte. Leider werden Agathas Ermittlungen unnötigerweise verkompliziert als der Ehemann tot aufgefunden wird.
3. Der tote Kaplan: Sarah Bloxby (Lucy Liemann), eine Freundin von Agatha, wird des Mordes beschuldigt, als der smarte, gutaussehende und beim weiblichen Teil der Gemeinde sehr beliebte Vertretungspfarrer Tristan Delon (Olly Rix) tot aufgefunden wird. Um Sarahs Unschuld zu beweisen, muss Agatha tief in der Vergangenheit des Mordopfers wühlen und entdeckt so manche Überraschungen.

Our former PR consultant and detective high-flyer Agatha Raisin (Ashley Jensen) has ended up back in idyllic 'Carsely'. At the end of the first season, she had traveled to Cyprus after James after the broken wedding. But it apparently didn't work out the way she had imagined, because she returned alone. On site, her old new acquaintances as well as three new cases are waiting for the weirdly clumsy hobby investigator.

02. The Dead Manor: In search of a few days of relaxation, Agatha rents a cottage in 'Fryfarm', a village where mythical fairies are said to live. Before Agatha can relax, she is approached in the local pub by Lucy Trumpington-James (Elarica Johnson) to ask if she could collect evidence of her husband's affair. Unfortunately, Agatha's investigation is unnecessarily complicated when the husband is found dead.
3. The dead chaplain: Sarah Bloxby (Lucy Liemann), a friend of Agatha's, is accused of murder when the smart, handsome and very popular with the female part of the congregation substitute pastor Tristan Delon (Olly Rix) is found dead. To prove Sarah's innocence, Agatha has to dig deep into the murder victim's past and discovers many surprises.
