Woodstock samt Hippie und Flower-Power schwappen über Manhattan-München direkt ins bayerische Hinterland. Die 68er mit 'Make love not war', Jimi Hendrix, den 'Rolling Stones' und 'Steppenwolf' toben in Herz und Hirn der Aufmüpfigen. 'Born to be wild' und frei sind der Jungbauer Sowieso Kerschbaumer (Ottfried Fischer), auch 'Sir Quickly' genannt; sein Spezi Irgendwie (Elmar Wepper), der Philosoph von eigenen Gnaden Effendi (Robert Giggenbach); der Sepp, der reiche Binser und eine Reihe fescher Frauen. Ganze 12 Folgen lang vermittelt diese eingeschworene Clique das schräg nostalgische, wundersame Feeling einer echten Traumzeit. Rundherum reinster Kult.
01. 'Ringo': Ohne seinen Lieblingssong läuft "Ringo", der Ochse, keinen Meter. Das - möglichst schnell - will aber sein Besitzer und Lenker bei der "1. Bayerischen Meisterschaft im Ochsen- und Stierreiten", der schwergewichtige "Sir Quickly". Vor dem Start fehlt das besagte Tonband. Mit gewagten Fahrkünsten schaffen es die Quickly-Freunde Effendi und Sepp heran. "Ringo" rennt. Der Sir gewinnt und die Siegesfeier samt angehimmelter Christl steht für den Abend an. Aber....
02. 'Die lange Nacht': Sir Quickly ist stark enttäuscht. "Ringo" ist weg und Christl hat ihn versetzt. Der "Sowieso" erklimmt den Kirchturm und beschallt das sonst so stille Dorf. Dessen Bewohner schauen sensationslüstern. Einer holt ein Gewehr! Der Binser greift ein. Wieder auf dem Boden der Tatsachen, resümiert "Sir Quickly": "Für mich ist Schluss". Der sonst schweigsame Sepp meint trocken: "Na, na, jetzt fangt's erst an". Und so geschieht es.
03. 'Sir Quickly und die Frauen': Der "Sowieso" hat sich bauernhäuslich samt Hühnern und einem Schwein in der Werkstatt vom Sepp eingerichtet. Er vernichtet stapelweise Himbeerjoghurt und hört lautstark Rock in Stereo. Dem Sepp reichts. Ihm, dem Effendi und Binser stellt sich die Frage: "Wie kriegen wir den Sir aus der Werkstatt?" Eine Frau für ihn muss her!
04. 'Eisklat und knallhart': Die Kuppler begleiten den Sir zur Villa des reichen Weininger, in der auch seine schöne Tochter Marlene lebt. Die ist interessiert - allerdings mehr an Skorpionen, Taranteln und dem Effendi. Hoffnungsschimmer für den Sir: "Seine" Christl hat mengenmäßig Ärger und will mit ihm abhauen "soweit das Benzin reicht". Er reicht bis zum Gardasee, wo der Sir ein großes Durcheinander auslöst.
05. 'Liebe': Während sich die Beziehung zwischen Effendi und Marlene nach Gesetzen entwickelt, die der Effendi nicht ganz durchschaut, wird auch der Binser von einer sehr ungewöhnlichen Frau verwirrt. Sir Quickly und Christl kommen sich in Italien immer näher, doch wird das beginnende Glück durch einen tragischen Unfall getrübt.
06. 'Nur keine Panik': Die Christl sieht sich plötzlich gezwungen, das Reise- und Transportunternehmen ihres Vaters allein zu leiten. Ihre Freunde versuchen - jeder auf seine Art - sie dabei zu unterstützen. Das Chaos ist vorprogrammiert.
07. 'Rallye': Den Weitertransport einer kostbaren Ware wollen Sir Quickly, Sepp und Effendi verhindern. Die Verfolgungsjagd wird zu einer Bus-Rallye und endet in einer Katastrophe.
08. 'Manhattan': Auf der Suche nach Christl stürzen sich Sir Quickly und Effendi ins Nachtleben von Schwabing und werden von einem verrückten Paar auf eine Ausflipper-Party eingeladen. Das Ende: Effendi wird von der Polizei verhaftet, Sir Quickly gerät in einen Kampf mit dem Bären und muss eine ganze Nacht mit einer Frau verbringen. Am Morgen des nächsten Tages haben zwei was, was sie einen Tag vorher noch nicht hatten: Der Binser ein eigenhändig entführtes Barmädchen und der Effendi die Idee, "dass alles Glück und Seelenheil nur in Indien zu finden ist."
09. 'Indien und Umgebung': Auf zur Erleuchtung, zum Himalaya und was sonst noch alles für unsere glorreichen Fünf so zu Indien gehört. Der Binser hat auch noch seine Charly im Schlepptau. Der Effendi giert nach Katharsis und Sir Quickly weiß "sowieso" nicht, wo er Weihnachten hin soll. Bei soviel Erwartungsdruck scheitert das Unternehmen Indien und verlagert sich mehr in die Umgebung.
10. 'Eine von uns': Im heimatlichen, weihnachtlichen Schnee gibt's eine schöne Bescherung. Der Sepp erfährt, dass seine Freundin Hanna das Aufgebot bestellt hat, allerdings nicht mit ihm.... Sir Quickly wird vom Binser in einen führungslosen Bauernhof hineinverpflichtet..... und Effendi hat die Ehre, neben Philosoph, Rebell, Diplomat und Psychologe den Titel "Werdender Vater" mitaufzunehmen....
11. 'Auf und auf - bergab': "Es gibt a Zeit, da geht's miteinander - und es gibt a Zeit, da geht's auseinander. Und de geht jetzt o!" Das ist das Resümee, das der Binser nach den Jahren der Freundschaft der Fünf zieht. Der Sepp redet mit niemandem mehr..... der Sir kommt nicht mehr.... und die Christl hat keine Zeit mehr.
12. 'Miteinander - auseinander': 68.000 Mark gilt es auf den Kopf zu hauen - wie in alten Zeiten halt. Der Sepp macht einen mentalen Felgaufschwung, schwingt sich mit Tango-Fredy, Effendi und der Marlene ins Auto - und rauf auf die Straße. Ein tragischer Unfall zeigt, dass nichts von dem, was vorbei ist, wieder so werden kann, wie es war.

The '68ers with 'Make love not war', Jimi Hendrix, the 'Rolling Stones' and 'Steppenwolf' rage in the hearts and minds of the rebellious. 'Born to be wild' and free are the young farmer Sowieso Kerschbaumer (Ottfried Fischer), also known as 'Sir Quickly'; his Spezi Irgendwie (Elmar Wepper), the philosopher of his own grace Effendi (Robert Giggenbach); Sepp, the rich Binser and a number of pretty women. For a whole 12 episodes, this sworn clique conveys the weirdly nostalgic, wondrous feeling of a real dreamtime. All around pure cult.
01. 'Ringo': Without his favorite song, "Ringo", the ox, doesn't run a meter. But his owner and driver wants to do that - as quickly as possible - at the "1st Bavarian Championship in Ox and Bull Riding", the heavyweight "Sir Quickly". Before the start, the aforementioned tape is missing. With daring driving skills, the Quickly friends Effendi and Sepp make it closer. "Ringo" runs. The sir wins and the victory celebration with adored Christl is scheduled for the evening.
02. 'The Long Night': Sir Quickly is deeply disappointed. "Ringo" is gone and Christl has moved him. The "Sowieso" climbs the church tower and fills the otherwise quiet village with sound. Its inhabitants look sensationalist. Someone fetches a rifle! The Binser intervenes. Back down to earth, "Sir Quickly" sums up: "It's over for me". The otherwise taciturn Sepp says dryly: "Well, well, now it's just beginning". And so it happens.
03. 'Sir Quickly and the Women': The "Sowieso" has set up shop like a farmhouse with chickens and a pig in Sepp's workshop. He destroys stacks of raspberry yoghurt and listens loudly to rock in stereo. Sepp has had enough. He, the Effendi and Binser ask themselves the question: "How do we get the Sir out of the workshop?" A woman for him is needed!
04. 'Ice cream and tough': The matchmakers accompany the Sir to the villa of the rich Weininger, where his beautiful daughter Marlene also lives. She is interested - but more in scorpions, tarantulas and the effendi. A glimmer of hope for the Sir: "His" Christl is in trouble in terms of quantity and wants to run away with him "as far as the petrol lasts". It reaches as far as Lake Garda, where the Sir causes a big mess.
05. 'Love': While the relationship between Effendi and Marlene develops according to laws that the Effendi does not quite understand, the Binser is also confused by a very unusual woman. Sir Quickly and Christl get closer and closer in Italy, but the incipient happiness is clouded by a tragic accident.
06. 'Don't panic': Christl is suddenly forced to run her father's travel and transport company alone. Her friends try - each in his own way - to support her. Chaos is inevitable.
07. 'Rally': Sir Quickly, Sepp and Effendi want to prevent the onward transport of a valuable commodity. The chase turns into a bus rally and ends in disaster.
08. 'Manhattan': In search of Christl, Sir Quickly and Effendi plunge into the nightlife of Schwabing and are invited to a freakout party by a crazy couple. The ending: Effendi is arrested by the police, Sir Quickly gets into a fight with the bear and has to spend a whole night with a woman. On the morning of the next day, two of them have something they didn't have the day before: Binser a bar girl kidnapped with his own hands and Effendi the idea "that all happiness and salvation can only be found in India."
09. 'India and surroundings': Off to enlightenment, the Himalayas and everything else that belongs to India for our glorious five. Binser also has his Charly in tow. The effendi craves catharsis and Sir Quickly doesn't know "anyway" where to go for Christmas. With so much pressure of expectations, India fails and shifts more into the surrounding area.
10. 'One of Us': In the Christmas snow at home, there's a nice present. Sepp learns that his girlfriend Hanna has ordered the call-up, but not with him.... Sir Quickly is hired by Binser into a farm without a leader..... and Effendi has the honour of including the title "Father-to-be" alongside philosopher, rebel, diplomat and psychologist....
11. 'Up and up - downhill': "There is a time when we go together - and there is a time when we separate. And it's okay now!" This is the summary that the Binser draws after the years of friendship between the five. Sepp doesn't talk to anyone anymore..... the sir doesn't come anymore.... and Christl has no more time.
12. 'Together - apart': 68,000 marks have to be hit on the head - just like in the old days. Sepp makes a mental rim swing, swings into the car with Tango-Fredy, Effendi and Marlene - and up on the road. A tragic accident shows that none of what is over can go back to the way it was.
