Um den permanenten Angriffen Godzillas auf Japans Städte ein Ende zu bereiten wird das G-War Hauptquartier eingerichtet. Dort entwickelt man eine Anti-Godzilla-Bombe die ein schwarzes Loch erzeugt, das das grüne Monster aufsaugen soll. Während eines letzten Tests unterläuft ein Fehler und das Tor zu einer anderen Dimension wird geöffnet. Heraus kommt eine Riesenlarve, aus der nach kurzer Zeit fünf Meter lange Riesenlibellen schlüpfen, die 'Meganulas'. Sie sammeln Energie und pumpen sie in eine weitere Larve aus der schließlich jenes Monster schlüpft mit dem selbst Godzilla nicht gerechnet hätte: Megaguirus ein gigantischer Riesenkäfer. Der will sofort Godzillas Energie anzapfen und so wird Japan schließlich zum Schlachtfeld auf dem sich Godzilla, Megaguirus und die Menschheit gegenüber stehen...
Ein Mythos der Filmgeschichte geht zu Ende. Mit den Millennium-Godzillas ist das letzte Kapitel der Leinwandlegende endlich auf DVD gebannt. Masaaki Tezuka's schuf erneut ein Sequel zu Godzilla 54 und lässt mit Megaguirus das ultimativ Böse auf Mensch und Godzilla los. Ein Alptraum für die Menschheit beginnt.

To put an end to Godzilla's constant attacks on Japan's cities, the G-War headquarters is established. There, they develop an anti-Godzilla bomb that creates a black hole that is supposed to suck up the green monster. During a final test, a mistake is made and the gate to another dimension is opened. The result is a giant larva, from which five-metre-long giant dragonflies hatch after a short time, the 'Meganulas'. They collect energy and pump it into another larva, from which the monster that even Godzilla would not have expected finally hatches: Megaguirus, a gigantic giant beetle. He immediately wants to tap into Godzilla's energy and so Japan finally becomes a battlefield on which Godzilla, Megaguirus and humanity face each other...
A myth of film history is coming to an end. With the Millennium Godzillas, the last chapter of the screen legend has finally been captured on DVD. Masaaki Tezuka's created another sequel to Godzilla 54 and unleashes the ultimate evil on humans and Godzilla with Megaguirus. A nightmare for humanity begins.
