Ferdi (Tom Lass) ist hässlich. Und er will unbedingt eine Freundin. Das geht aber nicht, weil: hässlich. Doch eines Tages trifft er Jona (Naomi Achternbusch) und Jona ist blind. Zum ersten Mal in seinem Leben gibt es Grund zur Hoffnung. Doch was Ferdi nicht weiß, ist, dass Jona nur so tut. Sie ist nämlich von Zuhause abgehauen, um ihr Abitur hinzuschmeißen und brauchte dringend eine Wohnung. Nun wohnt sie bei ihrer Cousine Cécile (Clara Schramm) im Blindenwohnheim und spielt blind. Und wenn Ferdi das rausfindet, bringt er sich vermutlich um...
Über Regisseur und Hauptdarsteller Tom Lass: 1983 geboren in München. Hat nichts studiert. 1999 im Alter von 15 erste Engagements als Schauspieler. Seit 2005 auch hinter der Kamera tätig als Produktionsassistent und Fahrer, später auch als Produktions-, Set-Aufnahmeleiter und Regie-Assistent. 2009 entstand sein erster improvisierter Lowbudget-Spielfilm 'Papa Gold' (erschienen 2011), der für den Max-Ophüls-Preis und den First-Steps-Award nominiert war und u.a. mit dem Preis des Verbands der deutschen Filmkritik bei 'Achtung Berlin' ausgezeichnet wurde. Direkt im Anschluss folgte sein zweiter Spielfilm 'Kaptn Oskar' (2012), der beim Oldenburger Filmfestival den Hauptpreis erhielt und dessen Hauptdarstellerin mit dem Seymour-Cassel-Award ausgezeichnet wurde. Sein dritter Spielfilm 'Blind & hässlich' (2017) ist eine Ko-Produktion mit dem 'ZDF - Kleines Fernsehspiel' und wurde 2017 beim Filmfest München mit dem Preis des internationalen Kritikerverbands 'FIPRESCI' ausgezeichnet.

Ferdi (Tom Lass) is ugly. And he desperately wants a girlfriend. But that is not possible, because: ugly. But one day he meets Jona (Naomi Achternbusch) and Jona is blind. She ran away from home to quit her high school diploma and urgently needed an apartment. Now she lives with her cousin Cécile (Clara Schramm) in a home for the blind and plays blind. About director and leading actor Tom Lass: Born in Munich in 1983. Didn't study anything. In 1999, at the age of 15, he made his first engagements as an actor. Since 2005 he has also been working behind the camera as a production assistant and driver, later also as a production, set production manager and assistant director. In 2009, he made his first improvised low-budget feature film 'Papa Gold' (released in 2011), which was nominated for the Max Ophüls Prize and the First Steps Award and was awarded the Prize of the Association of German Film Critics at 'Achtung Berlin', among others. This was immediately followed by his second feature film 'Kaptn Oskar' (2012), which received the main prize at the Oldenburg Film Festival and whose leading actress was awarded the Seymour Cassel Award. His third feature film 'Blind & Hässlich' (2017) is a co-production with 'ZDF - Kleines Fernsehspiel' and was awarded the prize of the international critics' association 'FIPRESCI' at the Munich Film Festival in 2017.
