Ein Hahn im Korb

The neighbors Egon Klemmer (Rolf Herricht) and Bruno Neubert (Heinz Behrens) secretly buy a blue 'Zaporozhets' one day before their driving test. Egon immediately takes a test drive and takes the right of way for a driving school car in which Bruno's wife Gisela (Margot Ebert) sits as a driving school instructor. He also runs over the rooster of Elvira Fielitz (Helga Hahnemann), who threatens to press charges against the perpetrator. Egon wants to cover up his joyride and hides the rooster in a laundry basket. Bruno and Egon become more and more entangled in small inconsistencies that make their wives suspicious.
