Vordergründig arbeitet Nicolas Baslier Krestowitz (Frédéric de Pasquale) als Antiquitätenhändler. Ohne das Wissen seiner Ehefrau Dominique (Stéphane Audran) ist er jedoch als Geheimagent tätig und erledigt in dieser Funktion einen wichtigen Auftrag. Nachdem er wichtige Dokumente in einem Industriekonzern fotografiert hat, taucht er für einige Tage mit der Agentin Françoise Ormesseq (Catherine Jacobsen) unter. Durch einen unglücklichen Zufall erfährt seine Ehefrau davon und missinterpretiert die Lage. In der Annahme, ihr Mann betrüge sie, erschießt sie ihn und verletzt Françoise schwer. Plötzlich befindet sie sich mitten in einer gefährlichen Spionageaffäre, die aus den Fugen zu laufen droht...
'Der Mann mit der Torpedohaut' (1970), dieser mit Lilli Palmer, Stéphane Audran und Klaus Kinski prominent besetzte Euro-Thriller wurde vom 'Lexikon des internationalen Films' als spannender Kriminalfilm bezeichnet, der 'Evangelische Filmbeobachter' sprach von einem atmosphärisch dichten Agentenfilm im unterkühlten Stil. Regie führte der mehrfach preisgekrönte Jean Delannoy (siehe u.a. 'Der Glöckner von Notre Dame' mit Anthony Quinn oder 'Kommissar Maigret stellt eine Falle' mit Jean Gabin).

On the surface, Nicolas Baslier Krestowitz (Frédéric de Pasquale) works as an antique dealer. Without the knowledge of his wife Dominique (Stéphane Audran), however, he works as a secret agent and completes an important assignment in this function. After photographing important documents in an industrial group, he goes into hiding for a few days with agent Françoise Ormesseq (Catherine Jacobsen). By an unfortunate coincidence, his wife finds out about it and misinterprets the situation. Assuming that her husband is cheating on her, she shoots him and seriously injures Françoise. Suddenly, she finds herself in the middle of a dangerous espionage affair that threatens to go off the rails...
'The Man with the Torpedo Skin' (1970), this Euro thriller with a prominent cast of Lilli Palmer, Stéphane Audran and Klaus Kinski was described by the 'Lexikon des internationalen Films' as an exciting crime film, the 'Evangelische Filmbeobachter' spoke of an atmospherically dense spy film in a cool style. It was directed by the multi-award-winning Jean Delannoy (see 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' with Anthony Quinn or 'Inspector Maigret Sets a Trap' with Jean Gabin).
