'Rocky Beach' in Kalifornien. Mit seiner außergewöhnlichen Intelligenz und seinem fotografischen Gedächtnis ist Justus Jonas (Julius Weckauf) der Kopf des berühmten Detektiv-Trios 'Die drei ???', das durch den skeptischen Allround-Athleten Peter Shaw (Nevio Wendt) und den auf Recherchen und Investigation spezialisierten Bob Andrews (Levi Brandl) komplettiert wird. Was die drei Jungs verbindet, ist ihre loyale Freundschaft und ihre Leidenschaft für Mysterien und scheinbar unerklärliche Geheimnisse, denen sie in ihrer geheimen Zentrale auf dem Schrottplatz von Justus' Onkel Titus (Florian Lukas) auf den Grund gehen. Als nächstes steht während der Sommerferien eine gemeinsame Reise nach Rumänien bevor, wo die drei Freunde ein Praktikum am Filmset von 'Dracula Rises' absolvieren dürfen, das ihnen Peters Vater (Mark Waschke) vermittelt hat, der bei den Dreharbeiten für die Special-Effects verantwortlich ist. Kaum in Transsilvanien angekommen, häufen sich rätselhafte Ereignisse auf dem alten Schloss von Gräfin Codrina (Gudrun Landgrebe), das dem Film als Originalkulisse dient. Die drei Detektive wollen herausfinden, was all dies mit einem seit über 50 Jahren verschwundenen Jungen, einer mysteriösen Bruderschaft und einem rätselhaften Untoten zu tun haben kann. Bald stehen nicht nur die Dreharbeiten und Peters Verhältnis zu seinem Vater, sondern auch die Freundschaft der 'Drei ???' auf dem Spiel...
Bei 'Die drei ??? - Erbe des Drachen' (2023) führte Tim Dünschede ('Limbo') Regie und schrieb zusammen mit Anil Kizilbuga auch das Drehbuch basierend auf einer Erzählung, die 'Drei ???' Autor André Marx gemeinsam mit den Produzenten entwickelte. Die Hauptrollen spielen Julius Weckauf ('Der Junge muss an die frische Luft', 'Catweazle') als Justus Jonas und Anführer des berühmten Detektiv-Trios, Nevio Wendt ('Rocca verändert die Welt') als Peter Shaw und Newcomer Levi Brandl als Bob Andrews. An ihrer Seite agieren u.a. Mark Waschke ('Dark', 'Tatort'), Gudrun Landgrebe ('Die Unsichtbare', 'Rossini'), Gedeon Burkhard ('Ostwind 5 - Der große Orkan', 'Kokowääh 2'), Florian Lukas ('Good Bye, Lenin!', 'Absolute Giganten') und Jördis Triebel ('Dark', 'Babylon Berlin'). 'Rocky Beach' in California. With his extraordinary intelligence and photographic memory, Justus Jonas (Julius Weckauf) is the head of the famous detective trio 'The Three ???', which is completed by the skeptical all-round athlete Peter Shaw (Nevio Wendt) and Bob Andrews (Levi Brandl), who specializes in research and investigation. What unites the three boys is their loyal friendship and their passion for mysteries and seemingly inexplicable secrets, which they get to the bottom of in their secret headquarters at the junkyard of Justus' uncle Titus (Florian Lukas). Next up is a trip to Romania during the summer holidays, where the three friends are allowed to complete an internship on the film set of 'Dracula Rises', which was arranged for them by Peter's father (Mark Waschke), who is responsible for the special effects during the filming. As soon as we arrive in Transylvania, mysterious events accumulate at the old castle of Countess Codrina (Gudrun Landgrebe), which serves as the original set for the film. The three detectives want to find out what all this can have to do with a boy who has been missing for over 50 years, a mysterious brotherhood and a mysterious undead. Soon not only the filming and Peter's relationship with his father, but also the friendship of the 'Three ???' are at stake...
In 'The Three ??? - Heir of the Dragon' (2023) was directed by Tim Dünschede ('Limbo') and also wrote the screenplay together with Anil Kizilbuga based on a narrative that was told by 'Three ???' author André Marx together with the producers. The leading roles are played by Julius Weckauf ('The Boy Needs Fresh Air', 'Catweazle') as Justus Jonas and leader of the famous detective trio, Nevio Wendt ('Rocca Changes the World') as Peter Shaw and newcomer Levi Brandl as Bob Andrews. At her side are Mark Waschke ('Dark', 'Tatort'), Gudrun Landgrebe ('Die Unsichtbare', 'Rossini'), Gedeon Burkhard ('Ostwind 5 - Der große Orkan', 'Kokowääh 2'), Florian Lukas ('Good Bye, Lenin!', 'Absolute Giganten') and Jördis Triebel ('Dark', 'Babylon Berlin').
