Als die neue Schülerin Melanie (Lorna zu Solms) am Otto-Leonhard-Gymnasium auftaucht, steht die Welt von Felix Vorndran (Oskar Keymer) Kopf. Sehr zum Argwohn von Ella Borsig (Lina Hüesker) und Felix' Gang. Sie glauben, dass Melanie hinter vielen kleinen Diebstählen steckt, die seit ihrem Auftauchen an der Schule passieren. Auf der Klassenfahrt spitzen sich die Dinge dann rasant zu, nicht zuletzt deshalb, weil Felix zuvor durch den Schulgeist Otto Leonhard (Otto Waalkes) in das Geheimnis des Schrumpfens eingeweiht wurde. Als Felix' Freunde ihm beinahe sein Date mit Melanie vermasseln, schrumpft er sie spontan auf ein Zehntel ihrer Größe - und plötzlich läuft alles so gar nicht mehr nach Plan...
Im dritten Teil der erfolgreichen 'Hilfe, ich hab...' Reihe sind unter dem Titel 'Hilfe, ich hab meine Freunde geschrumpft' (2021) und der Regie von Granz Henman wieder viele bekannte Gesichter aus den vergangenen zwei Teilen zu sehen, darunter Anja Kling als Frau Dr. Schmitt-Gössenwein, Axel Stein als Peter Vorndran, Andrea Sawatzki als Hulda Stechbarth, Otto Waalkes als Otto Leonhard sowie die Jugenddarsteller Oskar Keymer als Felix Vorndran, Lina Hüesker als Ella Borsig, Maximilian Ehrenreich, Eloi Christ, Georg Sulzer und viele andere mehr. Die beiden ersten Filme 'Hilfe, ich hab meine Lehrerin geschrumpft' (2015) und 'Hilfe, ich hab meine Eltern geschrumpft' (2018), die auf dem Originalbuch von Sabine Ludwig basieren, versammelten gemeinsam über 2,2 Millionen Kinozuschauer in den Koproduktionsländern Deutschland und Österreich im Kino. Dies veranlasste die Produzentengemeinschaft Corinna Mehner, 'blue eyes Fiction' in München und Hans Eddy Schreiber von 'Karibufilm', unter der Regie von Granz Henman, einen überzeugenden und inhaltlich unabhängigen dritten Film mit dem nun im Teenageralter angekommenen Schüler Felix Vorndran und seiner Gang als fulminanten Abschluss der Kinofilm Reihe zu realisieren. Das Drehbuch zu dieser turbulenten Komödie schrieb auch dieses Mal Gerrit Hermans. Der Film wurde gefördert von der der Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, der Filmförderungsanstalt 'FFA', vom Deutschen Filmförderfonds 'DFFF', von 'Belga Productions' und dem 'Belgian Tax Shelter', vom FilmFernsehFonds Bayern 'FFF Bayern', dem Österreichischen Filminstitut, 'IDM' Südtirol, dem Filmfonds Wien, 'FISA - Filmstandort Austria', von 'Mibact Direzione Cenerale Cinema e Audiovisivo', 'Screen Flanders' sowie dem Land Niederösterreich. Gedreht wurde in Südtirol, Österreich, Belgien und Deutschland.

When the new student Melanie (Lorna zu Solms) shows up at the Otto-Leonhard-Gymnasium, the world of Felix Vorndran (Oskar Keymer) is turned upside down. Much to the suspicion of Ella Borsig (Lina Hüesker) and Felix's gang. They believe that Melanie is behind many small thefts that have been happening at the school since she appeared. On the class trip, things come to a head, not least because Felix has previously been initiated into the secret of shrinking by the school spirit Otto Leonhard (Otto Waalkes). When Felix's friends almost mess up his date with Melanie, he spontaneously shrinks her to a tenth of her height - and suddenly everything doesn't go according to plan anymore...
In the third part of the successful 'Help, I have...' series, many familiar faces from the past two parts can be seen again under the title 'Help, I Shrunk My Friends' (2021) and directed by Granz Henman, including Anja Kling as Dr. Schmitt-Gössenwein, Axel Stein as Peter Vorndran, Andrea Sawatzki as Hulda Stechbarth, Otto Waalkes as Otto Leonhard and the youth actors Oskar Keymer as Felix Vorndran, Lina Hüesker as Ella Borsig, Maximilian Ehrenreich, Eloi Christ, Georg Sulzer and many more. The first two films 'Help, I Shrunk My Teacher' (2015) and 'Help, I Shrunk My Parents' (2018), which are based on the original book by Sabine Ludwig, together gathered over 2.2 million cinema audiences in the co-production countries of Germany and Austria. This prompted the producer association Corinna Mehner, 'blue eyes Fiction' in Munich and Hans Eddy Schreiber of 'Karibufilm', directed by Granz Henman, to realize a convincing and content-independent third film with the now teenage student Felix Vorndran and his gang as a brilliant conclusion to the feature film series. The screenplay for this turbulent comedy was once again written by Gerrit Hermans. The film was supported by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, the German Federal Film Board 'FFA', the German Film Fund 'DFFF', 'Belga Productions' and the 'Belgian Tax Shelter', the FilmFernsehFonds Bayern 'FFF Bayern', the Austrian Film Institute, 'IDM' South Tyrol, the Vienna Film Fund, 'FISA - Filmstandort Austria', 'Mibact Direzione Cenerale Cinema e Audiovisivo', 'Screen Flanders' and the Province of Lower Austria. Filming took place in South Tyrol, Austria, Belgium and Germany.
