Burg Schreckenstein 2

It's that time of year again: Schreckenstein and Rosenfels outdo each other with sophisticated acts of sabotage at the annual competitions at the Kapellsee. But shortly before the end, it comes to an interruption when the Count's zeppelin crashes. Although Count Schreckenstein was able to save himself at the last second, he now has to spend several weeks in the sanatorium and is financially ruined. The count's representative, his cousin Kuno von Schreckenstein (Uwe Ochsenknecht), sees the sale of the castle to the Chinese entrepreneur Wang as the only solution. It dawns on the boys that Schreckenstein Castle is to be relocated to China to become part of a medieval theme park. But servant Jean (Alexander Beyer) believes in the salvation of Schreckenstein Castle and wants to go in search of the once forgotten treasure in the castle courtyard. Just myth or reality? The boys get to the bottom of the mystery...

The filming of 'Burg Schreckenstein 2' in Bavaria and South Tyrol has been completed. And the start date for the turbulent family comedy has already been set: 'Concorde Filmverleih' will bring the film to German cinemas on December 7, 2017. The sequel to the successful film adaptation of the children's book series of the same name by Oliver Hassencamp, which has sold millions of copies, is a production of 'Roxy Film' in co-production with 'Violet Pictures' and 'Tele München'. The screenplay for the adventurous family comedy was written by Christian Limmer, directed again by Ralf Huettner ('Vincent will Meer'). The adult roles are again cast with Sophie Rois as director Horn, Henning Baum as Rex and Alexander Beyer as servant Jean. New to the ensemble of actors is Uwe Ochsenknecht as Count Kuno von Schreckenstein. The following players return as Schreckensteiner: Maurizio Magno (Stephan), Chieloka Nwokolo (steamroller), Benedict Glöckle (Ottokar), Caspar Krzysch (Mücke) and Eloi Christ (Strehlau). The following are back as Rosenfels residents: Nina Goceva (Bea), Mina Rueffer (Inga) and Paula Donath (Alina). The film was funded by the FilmFernsehFonds Bayern (FFF), the South Tyrolean Film Fund IDM, the German Federal Film Board (FFA) and the German Film Fund (DFFF).
