'Unsere Welt ist am Arsch, weil die Falschen am Drücker sind!'. Das ist Glockes (Matti Schmidt-Schaller) Sicht auf die Dinge. Zumindest im Moment. Und vielleicht auch ein wenig, weil er selbst ganz und gar nicht am Drücker ist. Er versucht sich als Aktivist - gegen Kapitalismus, gegen Ungerechtigkeit in der Welt, für Naturschutz und gegen Tierversuche. Doch eigentlich geht es ihm darum, ein Mädchen zu beeindrucken. So auch, als er einen protzigen Luxuswagen anzündet. Leider wird Glocke dabei erwischt und gefilmt. Er kann fliehen, aber sein Bild geht schon durch die Medien. Spontan schließt er sich einer Gruppe Fremder an, die sich im Netz verabredet haben. Sie folgen dem Ruf eines Unbekannten, der in den Bergen lebt und in der Rückbesinnung zur Natur den Weg in die Zukunft sieht. Sie alle wollen die Welt zu einem besseren Ort machen und tragen doch ein Geheimnis mit sich, möchten ihre Vergangenheit hinter sich lassen und aus dem System ausbrechen. Das ist ihr Ziel. Zunächst erleben die jungen Rebellen Glocke, Judith (Milena Tscharntke), Steffi (Matilda Merkel), Elias (Tom Gronau) und Paule (Enno Trebs) Tage der Freiheit und des Glücks. Nochmal ganz von vorn anfangen, mitten im Wald und fernab unserer Gesellschaft? Rebellieren und einfach alles hinter sich lassen? In Philipp Hirschs Kino-Spielfilmdebüt 'Raus' (2018) ist der Name des Filmes Programm. Seine Protagonisten wollen raus! Sie wollen raus in die Natur und raus aus ihrem jetzigen Leben, möchten ausbrechen aus der heruntergekommenen Zivilisation. Jeder für sich, erst allein, dann zusammen. Dass dies jedoch alles andere als einfach ist, müssen sie schnell am eigenen Leib erfahren. In den Rollen der jungen Aussteiger, die sich nach absoluter Freiheit sehnen, glänzen Newcomer Matti Schmidt-Schaller, Tom Gronau, Milena Tscharntke, Matilda Merkel und Enno Trebs. Das Drehbuch hat Regisseur Hirsch gemeinsam mit Thomas Böltken geschrieben. Entstanden ist junges deutsches Kino in Bestform und ein Roadmovie, das das Lebensgefühl der 'Generation Z' in kraftvollen und sinnlichen Bildern einfängt. 'Raus' ist eine Produktion von 'Ostlicht' in Koproduktion mit 'Lightburst Entertainment' und in Zusammenarbeit mit dem 'Debüt im Dritten' des Südwestrundfunk 'SWR'. Gefördert wurde 'Raus' durch die Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung 'MDM', die 'Nordmedia - Film- und Mediengesellschaft Niedersachsen/Bremen' und den Deutschen Filmförderfonds 'DFFF' und die 'IDM Südtirol / Film Fund & Commission'. 'Our world is fucked up because the wrong people are in charge!'. This is Glocke's (Matti Schmidt-Schaller) view of things. At least for the moment. And perhaps also a little, because he himself is not at all in charge. He tries his hand at activism - against capitalism, against injustice in the world, for nature conservation and against animal testing. But he is actually interested in impressing a girl.
