Ben (Timon Wloka), Jonas (Timmi Trinks), Özzi (Ugur Ekeroglu), Leo (Janina Fautz) und Sophie (Stephanie Amarell) - drei Jungs, zwei Mädchen - kurz vor dem Abitur, geraten auf ihrer Klassenfahrt nach Hildesheim ins Visier einer geheimnisvollen Sekte. Ihre Freundschaft wird dabei auf eine harte Probe gestellt: Leo ist zwischen Ben und Jonas hin- und hergerissen, Sophie schwärmt heimlich für Özzi und warum hat es die Sekte gerade auf Jonas abgesehen? Bei der Besichtigung des Hildesheimer Doms kommt es zu einer Explosion mit dramatischen Folgen. Die Freunde werden getrennt und stellen fest, dass die unheimliche Sekte ein Ritual um die sagenumwobene Irminsul-Statue plant, das zur lang erwarteten Sonnenfinsternis vollzogen werden muss - mit schrecklichen Folgen für die Menschheit. Die Zeit läuft und ein actionreicher Kampf der Freunde beginnt, den sie nur durch Vertrauen und Zusammenhalt gewinnen können. 'Allein gegen die Zeit' müssen sie sich gemeinsam durch ein Labyrinth aus jahrhundertelang verschlossenen Grabkammern, unterirdischen Verliesen und durch ein altes Bergwerk kämpfen. Their friendship is put to the test: Leo is torn between Ben and Jonas, Sophie secretly has a crush on Özzi and why is the cult targeting Jonas? During a visit to Hildesheim Cathedral, there is an explosion with dramatic consequences. The friends are separated and discover that the sinister sect is planning a ritual around the legendary Irminsul statue, which must be performed for the long-awaited solar eclipse - with terrible consequences for humanity. Time is running out and an action-packed battle between the friends begins, which they can only win through trust and cohesion. 'Alone against time', they have to fight their way together through a labyrinth of burial chambers that have been closed for centuries, underground dungeons and through an old mine. Until the onset of the total solar eclipse, it is necessary to prevent a catastrophe of unimaginable proportions...

It is the first feature film after the critically acclaimed series of the same name, which was praised as a thriller series for kids in the style of '24', which in addition to many awards such as the 'Golden Sparrow' (2010), a double 'Prix Jeunesse International' (2010), the 'Emil' (2011) and the 'German Camera Award' (2012), in 2011 also a nomination for the 'International Emmy Award', received the 'German Television Award' (2010) and the 'Banff World Television Awards' (2012).
