In 'Hard Revenge Milly' (2008) von Takanori Tsujimoto macht Japans neuer weiblicher Actionstar Miki Mizuno (aus 'Sasori') in der Rolle der rachsüchtigen Titelfigur im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes keine Gefangenen. Wie schon in 'Tokyo Gore Police' (2008) und 'The Machine Girl' (ebenfalls 2008) wird der Splattergehalt in ungeahnte Höhe geschraubt und in Blut und abgetrennten Körperteilen regelrecht gebadet - und das alles natürlich mit größtmöglichen Style. 'Hard Revenge Milly' ist Japans ganz eigene Antwort auf Tarantinos 'Kill Bill' und lässt dabei die langweiligen Stellen ganz einfach weg. Übrig bleibt ein bunter Reigen völlig übertriebener Splatter-Action-Szenen, die einfach nur Spaß machen und bestes Mitternachts-Kult-Kino garantieren.

In 'Hard Revenge Milly' (2008) by Takanori Tsujimoto, Japan's new female action star Miki Mizuno (from 'Sasori') literally takes no prisoners in the role of the vengeful title character. As in 'Tokyo Gore Police' (2008) and 'The Machine Girl' (also 2008), the splatter content is screwed to unimagined heights and literally bathed in blood and severed body parts - and all this of course with the greatest possible style. 'Hard Revenge Milly' is Japan's very own answer to Tarantino's 'Kill Bill' and simply omits the boring parts. What remains is a colorful round of completely exaggerated splatter action scenes that are simply fun and guarantee the best midnight cult cinema.
