Auf einer Ölbohrplattform vor der Küste Kaliforniens scheint alles ganz normal zu laufen, bis plötzlich eine Gruppe von Umweltschützern auf der Bildfläche erscheint. Die vermeintlichen Kämpfer für die Natur entpuppen sich als eine Gruppe von gefährlichen Terroristen. Allen voran ihr skrupelloser und hasserfüllter Anführer Michael Kittredge (Vinnie Jones), der einen schrecklichen Plan verfolgt: Er will eine gewaltige und tödliche Bombe auf der Bohrinsel zünden und so eine irreparable Katastrophe herbeiführen. On an oil rig off the coast of California, everything seems to be going quite normally, until suddenly a group of environmentalists appears on the scene. The supposed fighters for nature turn out to be a group of dangerous terrorists. First and foremost, their unscrupulous and hateful leader Michael Kittredge (Vinnie Jones), who pursues a terrible plan: He wants to detonate a huge and deadly bomb on the oil rig and thus cause an irreparable catastrophe.
