Durch die gewaltige Explosion wird ein geheimes ABC-Waffenarsenal der British-Army unter der Stadt freigelegt. Um unangenehme Fragen zu vermeiden, wird in der Folgezeit im Radius von acht Kilometern eine Quarantänezone um die Unglücksstelle errichtet, die dort lebenden Menschen werden evakuiert. Doch was ist wirklich passiert? Nach der Explosion glaubt Fotojournalistin Jennifer Preston (Natalia Tena aus 'Game of Thrones' und 'Harry Potter'), an ihren Mitbürgern ein merkwürdiges Verhalten zu beobachten. Die Mini-Serie 'Residue' besticht durch einen top Cast, darunter Natalia Tena und Iwan Rheon aus 'Game of Thrones', sowie durch coole Farb- und Bildkompositionen, wie sie selbst Regie-Gigant Ridley Scott nicht besser hinbekommen hätte. A British metropolis in the near future. On New Year's Eve, a bomb detonates in a nightclub, killing 236 people. The powerful explosion exposes a secret NBC arsenal of the British Army under the city. In order to avoid unpleasant questions, a quarantine zone will be set up around the accident site within a radius of eight kilometres in the following period, and the people living there will be evacuated. But what really happened? After the explosion, photojournalist Jennifer Preston (Natalia Tena from 'Game of Thrones' and 'Harry Potter') believes she observes strange behavior in her fellow citizens. Strange deaths are piling up, and the question hovers over it all, what could the government have to do with these events?
The mini-series 'Residue' impresses with a top cast, including Natalia Tena and Iwan Rheon from 'Game of Thrones', as well as cool color and image compositions that even directing giant Ridley Scott couldn't have done better.
