Durch einen Gefangenaustausch kehren zwei der drei Männer zu ihren Familien nach Israel zurück - eine Umstellung, die das Leben aller dramatisch verändert. For 17 years, Hezbollah in Lebanon held the lives of Uri Zach (Ishai Golan), Nimrod Klein (Yoram Toledano) and Amiel Ben-Horin (Assi Cohen) in its hands. Through a prisoner exchange, two of the three men return to their families in Israel - a change that dramatically changes everyone's lives. The mental and physical traumas of torture do not allow the happiness of regained freedom and raise questions. What happened to Amiel? Are Uri and Nimrod really just victims?

'Hatufim - Prisoners of War', the Israeli version of the US series 'Homeland', deals with the always explosive topic of the return of Israeli soldiers from Hezbollah captivity.
