Spiegel TV - Der Fall der Mauer

When the barrier of the Berlin border crossing Bornholmer Straße was opened late in the evening of November 9, 1989, only a camera team from 'Spiegel TV' documented this historic event: the moment when the Wall fell. 28 years after the Wall was built, 44 years after the end of the war. From the original materials shot by reporters from 'Spiegel TV' before, during and after the fall of the Wall, Stefan Aust and Katrin Klocke reconstruct the flight of GDR citizens in late summer via Hungary to the West, the 40th anniversary of the GDR, the fall of the Wall and the fall of the Berlin Wall. A cinematic retelling of moving and moving images - about the autumn that made history.
