Trevor ist hübsch, smart, Mitte Zwanzig und lebt in Los Angeles. Und dennoch läuft es nicht so rund in seiner Welt. Er hat gerade mal wieder seinen Junkie-Boyfriend Daryl nach einer Überdosis in die Notaufnahme bringen müssen. Auch der Job im Callcenter nervt. Er will sein Leben ändern, aber wie? Trevor sucht geradewegs die tiefe Erfüllung, aber diese ist in der Stadt des oberflächlichen Glanzes manchmal erst nach der ein oder anderen Umleitung zu finden. Er wagt den Absprung von Daryl und findet Halt im Schoß seiner liebenswert-verrückten Clique und in den Armen des attraktiven Arztes Ephram, dessen direkte Art, Gefühle zu zeigen, Trevor ziemlich verwirrt. Denn zugegeben, dank Coolness, einem Hauch Zynismus, einer guten Portion Drama und vor allem echten Freunden lässt es sich als Single in der Stadt der Engel ganz gut überleben. Aber - suchen nicht alle, angefangen bei der zu Cocktail-Trostpflastern neigenden Andie bis hin zu seinem One-Night-Stand-rotierenden, besten Freund Jack (Herzensbrecher Jay Brannan aus 'Shortbus'), nach einem tieferen Glück in der Glitzermetropole, nach, ja...
