Seriously injured and exhausted, the Stone Age man crouches under a ledge in the Ötztal Alps. Before dying in the ice, he dreams images of the last year of his life - and the viewer is right in the middle of the action. This is how it could have been, 5,300 years ago, when the man whose ice mummy was found in 1991 and employed more than 60 teams of experts as 'Ötzi' lived. The internationally renowned Austrian nature filmmaker Kurt Mündl has reconstructed the Stone Age struggle for existence in his feature film documentary 'The Ötztal Man and His World'. 'Ötzi' and his clan were constantly threatened by wild animals and forces of nature. They are scientifically sound, exciting images of the Neolithic Age. This is as exciting as it is instructive.
