Nico (Gustavo Sánchez Parra) und Botcha (Raúl Méndez) sind es leid, immer nur von der Hand in den Mund zu leben. Was liegt da näher, als einfach mal was zu riskieren und den großen Coup zu landen? Eine Entführung scheint das probate Mittel für den warmen Geldsegen zu sein und mit dem steinreichen Industrietycoon Oscar Cabor (Pedro Armendáriz Jr.) finden die beiden Möchtegern-Ganoven das offensichtlich passende Opfer. Dummerweise erwischen sie aber den gänzlich falschen Mann, was ihnen aber verborgen bleibt. Warum sollten sie auch darauf kommen, dass die Geisel mit dem Sack über dem Kopf nicht Cabos ist, denn schließlich ist der echte Despot wirklich verschwunden. Das Chaos nimmt seinen Lauf und durch ihre Begegnungen mit nervigen Papageien, einem abgehalfterten Wrestler und nicht zuletzt einem Typ namens 'Kannibalen-Tony' (Silverio Palacios) stehen Nico und Botcha vor den größten Problemen ihres Lebens...
Mexiko rockt gewaltig und liefert derzeit die heißesten Filmexporte. So wie dieser abgefuckte, rabiate und komplett durchgeknallte Verwechslungs-Actionkrimi 'Matando Cabos' (2004). Gewalttätig, vulgär, abgefahren und grenzenlos komisch - mit 'Matando Cabos' schlägt Regisseur Alejandro Lozano genau in die Kerbe, die Tarantino und Guy Ritchie mit ihren besten Filmen in die Herzen der Kinofans geschnitzt haben. Der Publikumsrenner des Fantasy-Filmfests ist eine actionreiche, unfassbar coole Gangstercomedy mit schwindelerregend hohem Gagpotential. Wunderbar respektlos und herrlich durchgedreht ist 'Matando Cabos' endlich mal wieder ein Film, der richtig abgeht.

Nico (Gustavo Sánchez Parra) and Botcha (Raúl Méndez) are tired of always living from hand to mouth. What could be more obvious than simply risking something and landing the big coup? A kidnapping seems to be the tried and tested means for the warm windfall and with the extremely rich industrial tycoon Oscar Cabor (Pedro Armendáriz Jr.), the two would-be crooks find the obvious suitable victim. Unfortunately, however, they catch the completely wrong man, but this remains hidden from them. Why should they also come to the conclusion that the hostage with the bag over his head is not Cabos, because after all, the real despot has really disappeared. The chaos takes its course and through their encounters with annoying parrots, a washed-up wrestler and last but not least a guy called 'Cannibal Tony' (Silverio Palacios), Nico and Botcha are faced with the biggest problems of their lives...
Mexico rocks tremendously and currently delivers the hottest film exports. Like this fucked-up, rabid and completely crazy mix-up action thriller 'Matando Cabos' (2004). Violent, vulgar, wacky and boundlessly funny - with 'Matando Cabos', director Alejandro Lozano hits exactly the notch that Tarantino and Guy Ritchie carved into the hearts of cinema fans with their best films. The crowd-pleaser of the fantasy film festival is an action-packed, incredibly cool gangster comedy with dizzyingly high gag potential. Wonderfully irreverent and wonderfully crazy, 'Matando Cabos' is finally a movie that really goes wild.
