Nach dem plötzlichen Tod ihrer Mutter ziehen die Brüder Anthony (Lewis McGibbon) und Damian (Alex Etel) mit ihrem Vater in eine Neubausiedlung. Beide versuchen mit den neuen Lebensumständen fertig zu werden, doch der siebenjährige Damian verkriecht sich zunehmend in einer ganz eigenen Welt, in der es für jede Situation Heilige gibt. Seine Internet-Recherchen auf diesem Gebiet sind schon recht professionell und er ist mit seinen Heiligen in permanentem Kontakt. So glaubt er auch an eine heilige Fügung, als ein Koffer voller Geld plötzlich wie aus heiterem Himmel auf seine selbstgebaute Hütte fällt. Sein größerer Bruder Anthony ist da schon etwas realistischer, woher das Geld kommt ist ihm relativ egal, doch er stellt rasch fest, das dieses Geld schnell ausgegeben werden muss. Es sind über 200.000 Pfund und die britische Währung wird bereits in sieben Tagen wertlos sein. Doch auf welche Weise kann man eine so riesige Summe Geld verjubeln, vor allem wenn man noch nicht voll geschäftsfähig ist? Während Damian versucht, allen Wohltätigkeitsorganisationen und hilfsbedürftigen Menschen in seiner Nähe finanziell unter die Arme zu greifen, denkt Anthony vielmehr an seine persönlichen Bedürfnisse und befindet sich in einem Kaufrausch. Doch beide Jungen merken schnell, das so eine Menge Geld auch zu einer Last werden kann. Als die eigentlichen Eigentümer des Geldes ihnen bereits auf den Fersen sind, ihr Vater Ronnie (James Nesbitt) langsam Verdacht schöpft und sie in einem Strudel von Problemen stecken, merken sie, dass wirkliches Glück nichts mit Geld zu tun hat...

After the sudden death of their mother, brothers Anthony (Lewis McGibbon) and Damian (Alex Etel) move into a new housing estate with their father. Both try to cope with the new living conditions, but seven-year-old Damian increasingly hides in a world of his own, in which there are saints for every situation. His internet research in this area is already quite professional and he is in constant contact with his saints. So he also believes in a holy providence when a suitcase full of money suddenly falls out of the blue on his self-built hut. His older brother Anthony is a bit more realistic, he doesn't really care where the money comes from, but he quickly realizes that this money has to be spent quickly. It is over 200,000 pounds and the British currency will be worthless in seven days. But how can you squander such a huge sum of money, especially if you are not yet fully capable of doing business? While Damian tries to help all charities and needy people in his area financially, Anthony thinks more about his personal needs and is in a shopping frenzy.
