Reichtümern ganz anderer Art sind Sebastio, Silvio und Roberto an der brasilianischen Atlantikküste auf der Spur. Sie sind auf der Jagd nach leckerem Edelfisch. Dabei ist das Leben eines brasilianischen Fischers alles andere als glänzend: kaum Geld, wenig Freizeit, aber dafür auch kein Stress. Handarbeit bis ins letzte Detail prägt den Alltag in der Destillerie Corisco. Jede Flasche Zuckerrohrschnaps, die das Haus verlässt, ist ein kleines Kunstwerk. Zuckerrohrschnaps ist die Basis für Brasiliens berühmtes Nationalgetränk, den Caipirinha. Nirgends wird er so häufig getrunken wie an der Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro. Der vier Kilometer lange Strand dient nicht nur zum Baden, sondern ist auch Vergnügungszentrum und Kontaktbörse – am Tag und vor allem auch nachts.

Handicraft down to the last detail characterises everyday life at the Corisco distillery. Every bottle of sugar cane liquor that leaves the house is a small work of art. Sugar cane liquor is the basis for Brazil's famous national drink, the caipirinha. Nowhere is it drunk as often as at the Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro. The four-kilometre-long beach is not only used for swimming, but is also an entertainment centre and contact exchange - during the day and especially at night.
