Als junger Mann verliebte sich der isländische Student Kristófer in London in die schöne Japanerin Miko. Diese verschwand jedoch eines Tages plötzlich aus der britischen Metropole und damit auch aus seinem Leben. Die Rolle des Kristófer teilen sich Egill Ólafsson ('Trapped - Gefangen in Island') als alter Kristófer und Palmi Kormákur ('The Deep') als junger Kristófer, die der Miko die Schauspielerinnen Kôki ('Tornado') als junge Miko und Yôko Narahashi ('Die Geisha') als alte Miko. 'Touch' ist eine Adaption des isländischen Bestsellers 'Snerting' von Autor Ólafur Jóhann Ólafsson. Das Werk wurde 2021 mit dem Literaturpreis des Buchhandels, dem 'Booksellers Literary Award', als bester isländischer Roman des Jahres ausgezeichnet. Gemeinsam mit dem vielfach preisgekrönten Filmemacher Kormákur verfasste Ólafsson auch das Drehbuch. Die Produktion übernahmen Kormákur sowie Agnes Johansen und Mike Goodridge.

Together with the multi-award-winning filmmaker Kormákur, Ólafsson also wrote the screenplay. The production was taken over by Kormákur as well as Agnes Johansen and Mike Goodridge.
