Der große Bruder Harry (Bryce Johnson) ist für den 16-jährigen Max (Cole Williams) nicht nur Vorbild und Idol, sondern auch seit früher Kindheit Objekt körperlicher Begierde. Big brother Harry (Bryce Johnson) is not only a role model and idol for 16-year-old Max (Cole Williams), but also an object of physical desire since early childhood. Since Harry has been hailed as the star of a boy band, the two see each other less and less. A joint camping tour is intended to change that. 'Harry and Max' (2004) is a rousing road movie between brothers who are on their way to adulthood. You are quickly on the trail of the lovers with them and forget that they are brothers after all. Director Christopher Munch (see 'The Hours and Time') is supported by the natural acting of his leading actors. Special authenticity in the role of the ambitious mother is given by 'The Mamas and The Papas' ex-singer Michelle Phillips. Controversial and stirring, poetic and intense - a great moment of independent film.
