Für alle Fälle Fitz - Staffel 2

Psychologist Dr. Edward Fitzgerald (Robbie Coltrane), known as 'Fitz', investigates unusual murder cases for the Manchester police station. Fitz is only secondarily interested in the identity of the perpetrator. He is concerned with something else: the why. Based on the circumstantial evidence, Fitz creates a psychological profile of the perpetrator. He assesses his further course of action and tries to prove the guilt of the suspects in intensive interrogations - but often enough also their innocence. His police colleagues around Inspector Bilborough do not particularly trust the psychologist's unorthodox methods. But Fitz achieves results, and that alone counts in everyday police work. Fitz is also interested in the effects that a crime has on the victims and their relatives. How does a woman cope with the trauma of rape? How does a family deal with the sex crime against their underage son? His private family life plunges Fitz from one crisis to the next. He is overweight, smokes and drinks and suffers from gambling addiction. After 20 years of marriage, Judith no longer wants to live with her husband, but she can't be without him either.
