Bisher war Carl Dawson (Matthew Rhys) im Leben nur Statist. Während sein älterer Bruder Justin (Tim Vincent) es als erfolgreicher Anwalt in London in vollen Zügen genießt, versauerte Carl in der Provinz. Als Justin eines Tages unter mysteriösen Umständen tödlich verunglückt, fahrt Carl nach London, um seine letzten Angelegenheiten zu regeln. Schneller, als geglaubt, zieht ihn der Sog und die Faszination eines bisher unbekannten Lebens magnetisch an. Wie sein Bruder zuvor, erliegt er dem Reiz der hypnotischen, im Rhythmus der Großstadt pulsierenden Underground-Raveszene und dem Charme von Justins schöner Freundin Sunny (Sienna Guillory). Dass im Hintergrund des verführerischen Milieus der exzentrische Club-Boss Damian (Tim Curry) mit gefahrlichen Geschäften unsichtbare Fäden spinnt, bemerkt Carl erst, als seine Neugier Damians Kreise stört. Bedrohlich wird ihm klar, dass der Glanz von Justins Leben nur Oberfläche war, und in diesem Milieu der gewaltsame Tod so schnell verfügbar ist wie der Rausch durch Beats, Drogen und Frauen.

So far, Carl Dawson (Matthew Rhys) has only been an extra in life. While his older brother Justin (Tim Vincent) enjoys it to the fullest as a successful lawyer in London, Carl soured in the provinces. When Justin dies one day under mysterious circumstances, Carl travels to London to settle his last affairs. Faster than he thought, he is magnetically attracted by the pull and fascination of a previously unknown life. Like his brother before him, he succumbs to the charm of the hypnotic underground rave scene pulsating to the rhythm of the big city and the charm of Justin's beautiful girlfriend Sunny (Sienna Guillory). Carl only notices that the eccentric club boss Damian (Tim Curry) is spinning invisible threads with dangerous business in the background of the seductive milieu when his curiosity disturbs Damian's circles. It becomes threateningly clear to him that the glamour of Justin's life was only superficial, and in this milieu violent death is available as quickly as the intoxication of beats, drugs and women.
