Wenn es um den schönsten Tag im Leben eines Paares geht, sind die Wünsche oftmals größer als das Budget. Hochzeitsplaner Dieter (Christoph Maria Herbst) hat die widersprüchlichen Vorstellungen seiner Kunden satt und möchte am liebsten alles hinschmeißen. Ein letzter Auftrag soll den krönenden Abschluss bilden: die Traumhochzeit von Leonie (Mira Benser) und Lasse (Ulrich Brandhoff) in einem malerischen Schloss. Wie immer hat Dieter alles bis ins kleinste Detail durchgeplant. Alles ist bereit für das perfekte Hochzeitsfest. Doch bevor Freudentränen und Champagner bei den Gästen fließen, laufen die Vorbereitungen schon vollkommen aus dem Ruder. Der sturköpfige Ersatzsänger Steve (Marc Hosemann) treibt Dieters Assistentin Jella (Cynthia Micas) zur Weißglut, Fotograf Marcel (Jörg Schüttauf) ist mehr am Buffet interessiert als an seinem Job und Aushilfskellner Florian (Johannes Allmayer) ist unglücklich in die Braut verliebt. Händeringend versucht Dieter mit allen Mitteln, die Katastrophen von der Hochzeitsgesellschaft fernzuhalten und sein bedingt harmonisches Team ist plötzlich zur Improvisation gezwungen, die das Hochzeitsfest ins perfekte Chaos stürzt...
Regie bei 'Ein Fest fürs Leben' (2023) führte Richard Huber, der auch für das Drehbuch verantwortlich zeichnete. Als Hochzeitsplaner Dieter ist Christoph Maria Herbst (zuletzt in 'Contra' und 'Der Nachname') zu sehen, zum Ensemble an seiner Seite gehören u.a. Cynthia Micas (aus 'Die Barbaren 2'), Marc Hosemann ('Cortex', 'Der Goldene Handschuh'), Jörg Schüttauf (Leander Haußmanns 'Stasikomödie'), Johannes Allmayer ('Die Wannseekonferenz', '100 Dinge'), Ulrich Brandhoff ('Another Monday'), Jasmin Shakeri ('Einfach mal was Schönes'), Anne Schäfer ('Alle reden übers Wetter'), Mira Benser, David Ali Rashed ('Das perfekte Geheimnis') und viele mehr. When it comes to the most beautiful day in a couple's life, the wishes are often bigger than the budget. Wedding planner Dieter (Christoph Maria Herbst) is tired of the contradictory ideas of his customers and would like to throw everything away. One last assignment is to be the crowning glory: the dream wedding of Leonie (Mira Benser) and Lasse (Ulrich Brandhoff) in a picturesque castle. As always, Dieter has planned everything down to the smallest detail. Everything is ready for the perfect wedding party. But before tears of joy and champagne flow from the guests, the preparations get completely out of hand. The stubborn substitute singer Steve (Marc Hosemann) drives Dieter's assistant Jella (Cynthia Micas) into a rage, photographer Marcel (Jörg Schüttauf) is more interested in the buffet than in his job and temporary waiter Florian (Johannes Allmayer) is unhappily in love with the bride. Dieter desperately tries by all means to keep the catastrophes away from the wedding party and his conditionally harmonious team is suddenly forced to improvise, which plunges the wedding party into perfect chaos...
