Regisseur Mariano Lamberti meidet bei seinen Charakteren keineswegs Klischees, er zeigt keinen Blick auf, sondern einen aus der schwulen Welt. Der Film war umgehend nach seinem Kinostart so populär, dass die katholische Gruppierung 'Militia Christi' zu einem Boykott aufrief, mit der Begründung, Lamberti wolle die Vereinigung zweier Männer der von Mann und Frau gleich stellen... wie ungeheuerlich.

Italy's first queer comedy was an absolute box office hit in 2012. Four men and four women let us participate in their everyday lives, in their lives, their love adventures and sex stories. Director Mariano Lamberti does not avoid clichés in his characters, he doesn't show a view of, but one from the gay world. The film was so popular immediately after its release that the Catholic group 'Militia Christi' called for a boycott, on the grounds that Lamberti wanted to put the union of two men on an equal footing with that of a man and a woman... How outrageous.
