Der Arzt Samir (Salman Khan) ist ein Casanova. Die einzige, bei der er nicht landen kann, ist seine Arzthelferin Naina (Sushmita Sen). Sobald ihm die Frauen zu nahe kommen, gibt er vor, verheiratet zu sein und wird sie so wieder los. Doch von seiner neuen Freundin Sonia (Katrina Kaif) ist er hingerissen, die beiden werden ein festes Paar. Nun will Sonia, dass Samir sich scheiden lässt. Zudem möchte sie seine Frau sehen. In seiner Not bittet Samir Naina um Hilfe. Sie gibt sich als seine Gattin aus - und von diesem Zeitpunkt gerät alles durcheinander: Sonia glaubt, ihr Freund habe Kinder mit Naina, Samirs Mutter (Beena Kak) taucht auf und ist schockiert, dass sie weder zur Hochzeit noch zur Scheidung eingeladen wurde. In all dem Trubel merkt Samir nicht, dass Naina echte Gefühle für ihn empfindet, und dass Sonia ununterbrochen mit ihrem frechen Nachbarn Pyaare (Sohail Khan) flirtet. Kurz vor dem Hochzeitstag überlegt es sich Sonia jedoch anders. Sie weiß, dass Samir eigentlich in Naina verliebt ist und fühlt sich mehr zu Pyaare hingezogen. So kommt es, dass letztendlich doch die Richtigen zueinander finden.

The doctor Samir (Salman Khan) is a Casanova. The only one he can't land with is his doctor's assistant Naina (Sushmita Sen). As soon as the women get too close to him, he pretends to be married and thus gets rid of them again. But he is enraptured by his new girlfriend Sonia (Katrina Kaif) and the two become a solid couple. Now Sonia wants Samir to get a divorce. She also wants to see his wife. In his distress, Samir asks Naina for help. She pretends to be his wife - and from this point on everything gets mixed up: Sonia believes her boyfriend has children with Naina, Samir's mother (Beena Kak) shows up and is shocked that she was neither invited to the wedding nor to the divorce. In all the hustle and bustle, Samir doesn't realize that Naina has real feelings for him, and that Sonia is constantly flirting with her cheeky neighbor Pyaare (Sohail Khan). Shortly before the wedding day, however, Sonia changes her mind. She knows that Samir is actually in love with Naina and feels more attracted to Pyaare. So it happens that in the end the right people find each other.
