Hier, zwischen Bücherstapeln und Monitoren, kann jeder sein Recht auf Bildung wahrnehmen und sich mit Anderen austauschen. Die Kraft der Gedanken ist der Anfang einer besseren Welt. Die Anmerkung des Regisseurs zu seinem Film: "Die Public Library von New York ist eine der wichtigsten kulturellen Institutionen von New York aufgrund des schieren Umfangs ihrer Archive, Büchersammlungen und Sammlungen zu Film, Theater, Tanz und Kunst. The director's note about his film: "The Public Library of New York is one of New York's most important cultural institutions due to the sheer volume of its archives, book collections, and collections of film, theater, dance, and art. Its headquarters and 92 branches in Manhattan, the Bronx, and Staten Island have gone beyond traditional library work to community and educational centers, offering lectures and courses of all kinds: business, programming, languages, after-school offerings, and adult education. Whether as a stage for slam poets or a refuge for the homeless, the library is the most democratic institution imaginable.
