Angst und Schrecken bestimmen den Alltag in 'Arkus'. Königin Schiija (Marit Persiel) versteinert mit ihrer Krone Menschen, wann immer es ihr passt. Bei der jährlichen Schenkung müssen ihr die Bewohner ihre Gunst erweisen. Eine Woche vor diesem Ereignis findet das Straßenmädchen Saraja (Anna-Lena Sender) eine merkwürdige Botschaft: 'Heute um Mitternacht auf dem Marktplatz'. Es ist Jono (Lukas Jantzen), der Anführer der Zauberdiebe, dessen Erzählung der Legende sie kurz zuvor aufmerksam gelauscht hatte. Der Junge Morius stahl einst den Ring der Königin und wurde daraufhin versteinert. Seitdem steht er als Statue auf dem Marktplatz. Um Mitternacht macht Saraja eine erstaunliche Entdeckung. Morius lebt im Körper der Statue weiter. Die Königin droht ihm damit, ganz 'Arkus' zur Diamantenstadt werden zu lassen - es sei denn, er findet jemanden, der die Legende zu Ende führt. Saraja macht sich sofort ans Werk. Drei Hindernisse gilt es zu überwinden: Das schönste Kleid, die größte Zuckerstange und den schönsten Schmuck soll besitzen, wer die Königin besiegen will...

Fear and terror determine everyday life in 'Arkus'. Queen Schiija (Marit Persiel) petrifies people with her crown whenever it suits her. In the annual donation, the residents must show her their favour. A week before this event, the street girl Saraja (Anna-Lena Sender) finds a strange message: 'Today at midnight in the market square'. It is Jono (Lukas Jantzen), the leader of the magic thieves, whose story of the legend she had listened to attentively shortly before. The boy Morius once stole the queen's ring and was then petrified. Since then, he has stood as a statue on the market square. At midnight, Saraja makes an amazing discovery. Morius lives on in the body of the statue. The queen threatens to turn all of 'Arcus' into a diamond city - unless he finds someone to complete the legend. Saraja immediately gets to work. There are three obstacles to overcome: The most beautiful dress, the largest candy cane and the most beautiful jewellery should be owned by those who want to defeat the queen...
