Kurz vor Weihnachten. Paketzusteller Wolfgang Paschke (Wolfgang Stumph) hat alle Hände voll mit der Auslieferung zu tun. Selbst plagen ihn die Sorgen: Seine finanzielle Lage ist wegen des Hausbaus sehr angespannt, sogar seine EC-Karte wird eingezogen. Zur gleichen Zeit überfallen zwei dumm-dreiste Ganoven, René Henning (Thorsten Wolf) und Rolli Wisotzki (Michael Brandner), Paschkes Bank, zwingen den Direktor Staudinger (Jaecki Schwarz) den Tresor zu öffnen, doch die Alarmanlage geht los. Fluchtartig verlassen sie mit einem Sack voll Geld die Bank, doch überall ist schon die Polizei. Paschke wird auf der Weihnachtsfeier von seinem unsympathischen Chef Krause zum Biertrinken gezwungen, in das heimlich Korn geschüttet wird. Kein Wunder, dass Paschke auf dem Weg nach Hause einen Unfall baut, von der Polizei erwischt wird und seinen Führerschein verliert. Doch damit nicht genug. Am nächsten Tag wird er auch noch von seinem Chef gefeuert. Beim Ausräumen seines Paketwagens macht er einen wundersamen Fund: ein Sack voll Geld. Den trägt er nach Hause und damit auch eine Menge Probleme.Seine liebevolle Frau Patricia und sein neunjähriger Sohn Paulchen ahnen von dem ganzen Durcheinander nichts. Doch dann wird der Sack irrtümlich von der Kirchengemeinde abgeholt, in dem Glauben es sei Paulchens altes Spielzeug. Paschke jagt dem Sack als verkleideter Weihnachtsmann nach, die Ganoven sind ihm immer auf den Fersen und die Polizei glaubt, den Täter zu kennen. Hauptkommissar Hagenbach sieht in Paschke den Drahtzieher des Überfalls. Es kommt zu einer aberwitzigen Jagd der Polizei und der Ganoven nach Paschke. Denn alle wollen nur den Sack voll Geld!

Shortly before Christmas. Parcel delivery man Wolfgang Paschke (Wolfgang Stumph) has his hands full with delivery. He himself is plagued by worries: his financial situation is very tense because of the construction of the house, even his EC card is confiscated. At the same time, two stupidly brazen crooks, René Henning (Thorsten Wolf) and Rolli Wisotzki (Michael Brandner), rob Paschke's bank, force the director Staudinger (Jaecki Schwarz) to open the safe, but the alarm system goes off. They leave the bank in a hurry with a bag full of money, but the police are already everywhere. At the Christmas party, Paschke is forced by his unsympathetic boss Krause to drink beer, into which corn is secretly poured. No wonder that Paschke has an accident on the way home, is caught by the police and loses his driver's license. But that's not all. The next day he is also fired by his boss. While clearing out his parcel van, he makes a miraculous discovery: a sack full of money. He carries it home and with it a lot of problems.His loving wife Patricia and his nine-year-old son Paulchen have no idea of the whole mess. But then the sack is mistakenly picked up by the church community, believing it to be Paulchen's old toy. Paschke chases after the sack in disguise as Santa Claus, the crooks are always on his heels and the police think they know the culprit. Chief Inspector Hagenbach sees Paschke as the mastermind of the robbery. There is a ludicrous hunt for Paschke by the police and the crooks. Because everyone just wants the sack full of money!
