Vater Seidl & sein Sohn

At the center of the action is the overzealous father Ludwig Seidl (Walter Sedlmayr), who wants to do everything right in raising his son Franzl (Stefan Sichlinger). Mother Seidl (Monika Dahlberg), a smart woman, takes a rather relaxed view. The dad also likes to seek advice from the father of five Brandstetter (Hans Clarin) or the waitress Kathi (Franzi Kinateder)...

The series 'Father Seidl and his Son' (1976) had its origins as early as 1949 in the radio program of the Bayerischer Rundfunk. As the first television series of the 'BR', a total of four episodes were created from 1954 to 1955. About 20 years later, writer and director Kurt Wilhelm started a new edition of this series. In his production, he brought the problems of parents and young people up to date, but did not change anything about the timeless constellation.
