The young hairdresser Christelle (Anouk Grinberg) leads an adapted life until one evening she gets tired of her husband's condescending treatment. She fights back, gets in the car and drives through the night. In her luggage she has 'Belle Boucles', all her hope for a better future. A miracle machine that is supposed to revolutionize capillary technology. She finds a future in the Galaxy Motel, immerses herself in the world of Mona (Bernadette Lafont), the mature and humorous owner of the motel, who secretly identifies with the heroine of her favorite soap opera 'The Love Ranch'. She first gives Christelle a room, later a job. The two become friends, Christelle brings colour to the motel and the film 'Les Petites Couleurs - The Hairdresser's Friend' by Patricia Plattner develops an optimistic fairy tale about a female friendship with a lot of humour and attention to detail.
