Kurz vor dem chilenischen Putsch von 1973 werden die CIA-Agenten Lee (Sam Rockwell) und Chris (John Malkovich) von ihrem Büroleiter MJ (Steve Buscemi) von Santiago zur Osterinsel entsandt.
