Januar 1947 in Le Cannet bei Cannes), Cécile de France als Marthe Bonnard, André Marcon als Künstlerkollege Claude Monet, Stacy Martin als Renée Monchaty und Anouk Grinberg als Misia Godebska unter der Regie von Martin Provost. Nach 'Séraphine' (César-prämiert als bester Film und bestes Originaldrehbuch) sowie 'Violette' beweist Provost erneut seine Liebe zu unterschätzten Künstlerinnen. In 'Bonnard, Pierre et Marthe', so der französische Originaltitel, konzentriert er sich auf den Maler Pierre Bonnard und seine Muse, Gefährtin und Vertraute Marthe, zeichnet mit großer Sinnlichkeit eine Geschichte von Liebe und Verlangen, von Eifersucht und Verrat.
