Auf die Donuts, fertig, los! Lisa auf dem Eis: Eigentlich ist Sport albern. Dies meint jedenfalls die intellektuelle Lisa. Aber im Kampf um eine bessere Schulnote und um Anerkennung wirft sie ihre Abneigung über Bord. Durch Zufall wird sie sogar Torhüterin einer Eishockeymannschaft. Lisa entwickelt sich zum richtigen Star und führt ihr Team zum Erfolg. Doch dann steht das alles entscheidende Spiel an - ausgerechnet gegen Bart und seine Mannen.
Das Maskottchen: Bei einem Match der Springfielder Baseballmannschaft erfindet Homer völlig neue Dimensionen zur Anfeuerung. Hemmungslos durch einige Liter Bier, schwingt er auf der Tribüne tanzend die Hüften. Ganz Springfield gröhlt und der Effekt ist perfekt. Das Team punktet und gewinnt. Klar, dass Homer sofort als Maskottchen unter Vertrag genommen wird. Sein Siegeszug führt die Simpsons in den Großstadtdschungel von Capital City.
Auf in den Kampf: Homer verfügt über ein besonderes Talent. Er kann bei Schlägereien zahlreiche Hiebe einstecken, ohne dabei umzufallen. Dank dieser Eigenschaft steht einer Boxkarriere eigentlich nichts im Weg. Unter den Fittichen von Kneipenwirt Moe steigt Homer tatsächlich in den Ring. Und dies mit Erfolg. Denn Homer bringt seine Gegner zum Verzweifeln. Er geht einfach nicht zu Boden.
Bart hat die Kraft: Eine Eskapade Homers mit alten Schulfreunden bringt ihn in eine unglückliche Lage. Ein Eimer voller Klebstoff lässt sich nicht mehr vom Kopf lösen. Da kommt ein Prediger mit angeblich heilenden Kräften gerade recht. Bei dessen Show erleben die Simpsons das große Wunder. Bart fungiert als Medium und kann Homer von dem Eimer befreien. Von nun an sind die Karrierepläne klar: Bart wird Wunderheiler.

On the donuts, get set, go! Lisa on the ice: Actually, sport is silly. At least that's what the intellectual Lisa thinks. But in the fight for a better school grade and recognition, she throws her dislike overboard. By chance, she even becomes the goalkeeper of an ice hockey team. Lisa develops into a real star and leads her team to success. But then the all-important game is on the agenda - against Bart and his men, of all people.
The mascot: At a match of the Springfield baseball team, Homer invents completely new dimensions of cheering. Uninhibited by a few liters of beer, he swings his hips dancing in the stands. All of Springfield roars and the effect is perfect. The team scores and wins. Of course, Homer is immediately signed as a mascot. His triumphal march takes the Simpsons into the urban jungle of Capital City.
Off to battle: Homer has a special talent. He can take numerous blows during fights without falling over. Thanks to this characteristic, nothing stands in the way of a boxing career. Under the wing of pub landlord Moe, Homer actually enters the ring. And with success. Because Homer drives his opponents to despair. He just doesn't go to the ground.
Bart has the power: Homer's escapade with old school friends puts him in an unfortunate situation. A bucket full of glue can no longer be removed from the head. A preacher with supposedly healing powers comes just in time. At his show, the Simpsons experience the great miracle. Bart acts as a medium and is able to free Homer from the bucket. From now on, the career plans are clear: Bart will become a miracle healer.
