Mit der Pensionierung des engagierten Universitätsprofessors soll nun endlich die gemeinsame Zeit anbrechen. Doch das Ankommen im neuen Alltag fällt beiden schwer, denn Juditha leidet an 'MS', die jahrelang beherrschbar schien und ausgerechnet jetzt voranschreitet. Während Erik die Vorstellung der häuslichen Enge mit Juditha überfordert, bedrückt sie die Erkenntnis, dass er jetzt nicht bei ihr sein will, wo er es doch könnte. Genau mit diesen grundsätzlichen Fragen unseres Zusammenlebens setzen sich Regisseurin Wendla Nölle und Autorin Greta Lorez in ihrem Spielfilmdebüt 'Ein großes Versprechen' (2021) auf berührende und vielschichtige Art und Weise mit einem herausragenden Schauspielerensemble auseinander. 2022 wurde 'Ein großes Versprechen' für den Deutschen Filmpreis 2022 in der Vorauswahl nominiert. Der bundesweite Kinostart dieser einfühlsamen Liebesgeschichte ist am 2. Juni 2022 erreicht. Die 'Tamtam Film' Produktion entstand in der 'Nordlichter' Debüt-Reihe in Koproduktion mit dem 'NDR' und mit Förderung der 'MOIN' Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein und der 'nordmedia'. Weltpremiere feierte 'Ein großes Versprechen' im Oktober 2021 auf dem Filmfest Hamburg, die internationale Premiere im Januar 2022 in Göteborg. In Zusammenarbeit mit der 'Deutschen Multiplen Sklerose Gesellschaft e.V.', kurz 'DMSG', wurde der Film anlässlich des Welt-MS-Tages am Montag den 30. Mai 2022 für Kino-Previews vor dem bundesweiten Kinostart angeboten. Zudem fand eine Kinotour mit den Hauptdarstellern Dagmar Manzel und Rolf Lassgård sowie Regisseurin Wendla Nölle und Filmteam in ausgewählten Städten statt. "'Ein großes Versprechen' ist eine große Liebesgeschichte über den Kampf eines Paares um einander und um Selbstbestimmung", fasst Dagmar Manzel zusammen.

With the retirement of the dedicated university professor, the time together should finally begin. It is precisely these fundamental questions of our coexistence that director Wendla Nölle and author Greta Lorez deal with in their feature film debut 'A Great Promise' (2021) in a touching and multi-layered way with an outstanding ensemble of actors. In 2022, 'A Great Promise' was shortlisted for the German Film Award 2022. The nationwide theatrical release of this sensitive love story is reached on June 2, 2022. The 'Tamtam Film' production was created in the 'Northern Lights' debut series in co-production with 'NDR' and with funding from 'MOIN' Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein and 'nordmedia'. 'A Great Promise' celebrated its world premiere in October 2021 at the Hamburg Film Festival, with its international premiere in Gothenburg in January 2022. In cooperation with the 'German Multiple Sclerosis Society e.V.', or 'DMSG' for short, the film was offered for cinema previews before the nationwide theatrical release on the occasion of World MS Day on Monday, May 30, 2022. In addition, a cinema tour with the main actors Dagmar Manzel and Rolf Lassgård as well as director Wendla Nölle and film team took place in selected cities. "'A Great Promise' is a great love story about a couple's struggle for each other and for self-determination," Dagmar Manzel sums up.
