Als kleines Mädchen wird Lana (Ladya Cheryl) von ihrem Vater im Zoo ausgesetzt. Umgeben von Tieren, Grenzen und den Geräuschen einer gezähmten Wildnis wächst sie hier auf, großgezogen von den Tierpfegern. Der Zoo ist ihre ganze Welt. Sie liebt die anmutigen Bewegungen der Nilpferde, die introvertierte Eleganz der Giraffe, das würdevolle Ohrenschlagen der Elefanten. Eines Tages taucht ein junger Mann (Nicolas Saputra) im Zoo auf, ein charismatischer Cowboy und Gelegenheitsmagier. Lana verliebt sich und verlässt an seiner Seite zum ersten Mal den Zoo. Glücklich assistiert sie ihm bei seinen Zaubertricks, bis er eines Tages in einer magischen Rauchwolke verschwindet. Lana arbeitet fortan in einem Erotik-Massagestudio. In ihrem Inneren herrscht der Schmerz über den Verlust des schönen Magiers und der Tiere, die einst Bedeutung in ihre Welt gebracht haben. Getrieben von der Sehnsucht nach Heimat muss Lana sich entscheiden: zwischen Erinnerungen an ihre Vergangenheit und dem Verlangen, den eigenen Weg zu finden. As a little girl, Lana (Ladya Cheryl) is abandoned by her father at the zoo. Surrounded by animals, borders and the sounds of a tamed wilderness, she grows up here, raised by the animal keepers. The zoo is their whole world. She loves the graceful movements of the hippos, the introverted elegance of the giraffe, the dignified flapping of the elephants' ears. One day, a young man (Nicolas Saputra) turns up at the zoo, a charismatic cowboy and occasional magician. Lana falls in love and leaves the zoo for the first time at his side. She happily assists him with his magic tricks until one day he disappears in a magical cloud of smoke. From then on, Lana works in an erotic massage studio. Inside her there is the pain of the loss of the beautiful magician and the animals that once brought meaning to her world. Driven by the longing for home, Lana has to decide: between memories of her past and the desire to find her own way.
